This will be the first time that the Icelandic Opera presents Kúnstpása in Hof in collaboration with Menningarfélag Akureyrar and Menningarhúsið Hof. Those that perform at Kúnstpása are well-known singers as well as those who are introducing themselves on the opera stage. Sigríður Ósk Kristjánsdóttir mezzo soprano will perform at this concert dedicated to the increasing light and presence of hope as a result.
Lára Bryndís Eggertsdóttir playes the harpsichord, Guðbjörg Hlín Guðmundsdóttir the violin and Steinunn A. Stefánsdóttir the cello.
They perform well-known baroque arias, e.g. by Purcell, Corelli and Handel.
Sigríður Ósk performs regularly in opera productions, oratorios and concerts lider recitals in Iceland and internationally. She has performed in operas at the Icelandic Opera, e.g. the role of Rosina in The Barber of Seville by Rossini and Flora Bervoix in La Traviata by Verdi which was staged in 2019 and again in Harpa and Hof in Akureyri in November 2021. Sigríður has also performed at the Glyndebourne Opera, English National Opera, English Touring Opera, Iford Opera and Classical Opera.
